All transformers that are manufactured or repaired by Alamo Transformer are rigorously tested prior to shipment, utilizing a custom designed and constructed test bench. In addition to periodic quality control inspections throughout the repair process, each unit is tested to applicable ANSI and NEMA standards. At a minimum, each unit receives the following electrical tests:

• Energize at Full Rated Voltage
• Impedance Full Rated Current
• Induced Test at 2 X Rated Voltage ( 400 Hz )
• Applied Test ( Hipot )
• Measurement of No Load Losses
• Measurement of Full Load Losses
• Transformer Turns Ratio Test ( TTR )
• Megger Test
• Polarity Test
• Phase Relation Test ( Three Phase Only )
• Production Line Impulse Test at Full BIL Rating ( San Antonio Location Only )
